1.1 Background of the Study
The video gaming industry is one of the most dynamic sectors globally, with an increasing reliance on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance player experiences, create adaptive game mechanics, and generate interactive narratives. In Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, gaming hubs have become centers for entertainment, offering gamers access to advanced gaming setups and multiplayer experiences. AI has played a pivotal role in improving gaming experiences, from creating intelligent non-playable characters (NPCs) to optimizing game performance based on player behavior.
AI can analyze how players interact with games, adjust difficulty levels in real-time, and offer personalized content to enhance user engagement. The use of AI in gaming hubs in Abuja is a relatively new development that has the potential to reshape the local gaming culture (Usman & Aliyu, 2025).
